• Spoke to Chris Tryon about IT Audit position. We're going to talk again tomorrow at 3:00 PM.
• Left message with Eric Gentry to call me back about Rent-A-Center positions.
• Tried reaching Randy Watterworth with JW about their Risk Advisory Services opening.

Mon 8/30

• Invited about 30 people I know to connect through LinkedIn. 13 had accepted by the end of the day.
• Sent resume to Darrell Williams and Bob Kimbrell.
• Updated resumes on CareerBuilder and Monster.
• TO DO: Reach out to Melinda Flath with Brinks about Manager of IT Governance & Compliance position if Virginia decides not to submit me.
• Sent message to Angel Jones with Aegon about IT Security Engineer position with Stonebridge Life.
• Sent email to Angel Jones to apply for IT Security Engineer position. The hiring manager is actually her manager.

• Received message in LinkedIn from Heather Malek with Matrix about IT Manager position with The Apparel Group. Wrote her back asking what the best way for me to apply would be.
• Sent an email to Luda asking what it was like to work at The Apparel Group.
• Sent an email to Rachel Meaney with Accuvant to inquire into opportunities there. Brian Serra said they're trying to fill "positions in Sales, Consulting, and Operations".
• Attended North Dallas Career Focus Group.
• Sent a LinkedIn message to Cheryl Stasiak with SolidState about Senior Audit & Compliance Consultant position that was posted in the PCI DSS Compliance Specialists LinkedIn group.
• Left a voicemail and sent an email to Randy Watterworth of Jefferson Wells about their Risk Advisory Services opening.
• Spoke to Heather about the position with The Apparel Group. She suggested I go ahead and apply on LinkedIn, and she would reach out to her contacts within the company to let them know to look for my application.
• Applied to IT Manager position on LinkedIn, and forwarded my cover letter to Heather as well.
• Spoke to Virginia Sumrall about Manager of IT Governance and Compliance position. Emailed her my resume.
• Reviewed the above job description, and highlighted the areas in my background which makes me a good fit for this position.
• Spoke to Virginia again about the Mgr. of IT Gov and Comp position. She will consider submitting me to the customer.

Tue-Wed 8/25-26

• Exchanged emails with and spoke to Irene Ozturk about the Compliance Analyst position she's trying to fill in Hurst. Sent her my resume. The company is Bell Helicopter.
• Spoke to Eric Gentry about Rent-A-Center positions. He has some contacts there. Sent him job descriptions as well as an explanation as to why I think I'd be a good candidate for these positions.

Thu 8/26

• Spoke to Chris Tryon about IT Audit position. He said I'm at the top of the queue, to be reviewed when the hiring manager returns next week.
• Followed up with David Moody at Trustwave to find out what the timeframe is for their hiring process.
• Followed up with Russ Grimes to see if he was able to locate anyone within the Lucas group that works with IT staffing. He's going to follow up with them.
• Played phone tag with Carla Johns at Lucas. She did say on one message they may have an opening that would be a good fit for me.
• Checked the weekly list.
• Emailed Jeff Resta at Grant Thornton about a IT Audit Sr. Associate position with GT.
• Emailed Michael Medrano about a Business Analyst position with Heartland.
• Emailed Jeff Camiel at JW about a RASP opening. Jeff sent me the name Randy Watterworth, who's the director of this group, and suggested I call him.
• Emailed Lance Clark at Fishnet about Compliance Security Consultant position.
• Sent message in LinkedIn to Josh Blessing at CA about some of their openings, such as "Sr. Services Consultant". He requested I send him my resume, and he'll push it up the ladder internally. I emailed him my resume, and received confirmation that he recommended me to their internal resource database.
• Spoke again to Irene about the Bell position in Hurst. A compliance position has again opened up, and she thought I'd be a good fit. She's sending the reqs, and I will tailor my resume for this position and send it back to her this afternoon. It's an 18 months contract, and she's going to submit me at $60.
• Received an email from Paige Harrington at Slalom. They don't have any current openings, but she will keep me in mind as she continues staffing up for their growth.

Monday 8/23

Left voicemail and sent resume to Russ Grimes - Lucas Group.
Spoke to Russ Grimes. He's to forward my resume to the people at Lucas who handles IT.
Created list of companies to check weekly.
Sent email to David Moody about Information Security Consultant position at Trustwave.
Sent resume to David Moody for him to refer internally within Trustwave.
Sent email to Chris Tryon about IT Audit position (he's to call me Mon afternoon).
